JIT's GUI is an option that may be used with any of JIT's 50 modules formanufacturing, distribution, and financial applications. Withoutchanging the way the JIT programs work and what they do, the GUI givesusers access to multiple screens and programs concurrently through theuse of windows technology. The browser, which appears in the primary GUIwindow, greatly simplifies system navigation and increases userefficiency. One of this GUI's most effective features, the browser is aroadmap display that gibes the user and overview of all open applicationwindows and shows their relationships. The user can open and closewindows and bring application windows to the front of the screen byclicking on browser icons. The JIT GUI is currently available for anyterminals running Motif, OPEN LOOK, the X Window System, and MicrosoftWindows, as well as for Macintosh systems.
